Newark Emergency Services for Families, Inc.
More than 40 years, NESF, a non-profit organization, has been serving the Greater Essex County Community. NESF is committed to providing quality services to individuals and families who need assistance with emergency food, clothing, shelter, utilities, rent, and other basic necessities during times of crisis. The homeless, the working poor, seniors, dually diagnosed, and those affected by fire, eviction, or domestic violence remain our primary focus. When there is nowhere else to turn, individuals can come to NESF.  Learn more at

The Apostles’ House
We are a Newark, New Jersey-based non-profit organization devoted to providing comprehensive social services to homeless women and children and individuals or families at risk of homelessness in Newark and Essex County.  The Apostles’ House has been faithfully serving this community since 1982.  Learn more at

Helping low-income homeowners have a safe and healthy home …

Rebuilding Together Bergen County
The local branch of a national nonprofit working to preserve affordable home ownership, Rebuilding Together Bergen County assists low-income homeowners—particularly seniors, the disabled, veterans or their spouses, members of the military, and families with children—by making improvements to their homes that help them live in safe, healthy surroundings.  Learn more at
