Germany is poised to make a landmark introduction in the world of transportation: The first zero-emission passenger train to be powered by hydrogen. Known as the Coradio ILint, the train made its public debut at the InnoTrans trade show in Berlin in August 2016. Providing an alternative to Germany’s 4,000 diesel trains, the train emits only excess steam into the atmosphere. Testing will reportedly be completed by the end of 2016, with a public introduction slated for December 2017. This exciting advancement may inspire clean-energy transportation alternatives around the globe. Click here to read more.
