Acting on a proposal by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and Rockland County (NY), the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) is funding the Route 59 Area Transportation & Land Use Study. Route 59 serves several transportation and community design objectives within a mixed-use environment, including commercial and residential uses within diverse communities along the Route 59 corridor.
