NJBPU Offshore Wind Strategic Plan

#ENERGY  #RENEWABLES  #ENVIRONMENTAL  #PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT

In January 2018, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 8, directing the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) to fully implement the Offshore Wind Economic Development Act (OWEDA) to meet the State’s goal of 3,500 MW of offshore wind capacity by 2030. This commitment to offshore wind development also helps support the State’s goal of 100% clean energy by 2050. NJBPU is spearheading the development of an Offshore Wind Strategic Plan (OWSP), which will help define the path to achieving the offshore wind project that will provide the best value for the State.
