PANYNJ Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A Redevelopment Program
#AVIATION #REDEVELOPMENT #REPORTING #OUTREACH
The Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A Redevelopment Program (the Program), led by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), is a key part of the Airport’s commitment to meeting evolving air travel needs, providing optimal transportation facilities, and supporting the economic health of the region. The Program includes construction of a new, state-of-the-art Terminal A, which eventually will replace the outdated Terminal A, the Airport’s oldest terminal. A new aeronautical taxi-lane network and apron will serve the new terminal. The Program also includes comprehensive roadway design; expanded and ample queuing space for taxis, buses, and private vehicles; and enhanced ground transportation, all of which will help reduce traffic congestion, as well as a new multi-level parking garage with capacity for about 2,750 vehicles. At an estimated cost of $2.7 billion, the Redevelopment Program—the largest in New Jersey—will enhance the passenger experience from arrival at the airport through arrival at the gate.
